MASI COLLECTION

Masi is a leading producer of Amarone and has always passionately interpreted the values of the Venetian regions. Its history began in 1772, the date of the first harvest by the Boscaini family in the prized vineyards of “Vaio dei Masi”, a valley in the heart of Valpolicella Classica. Masi has gradually expanded with subsequent acquisitions in the best historic production areas of the Venetian regions.

Masi produces fine wines, using mainly native grapes and methods with attention to sustainability and constant technological updating.

In 1973, a virtuous collaboration was born with the Counts Serego Alighieri, descendants of the poet Dante, bringing the oldest estate in Valpolicella into the group and starting the ambitious project of creating a series of Venetian brands of great significance and history, tradition and innovation around Masi. Two other important collaborations followed: in 2007 with the noble winery of the Counts Bossi Fedrigotti in Rovereto, Trentino, and in 2016 with Canevel, a producer of excellent sparkling wines in the Valdobbiadene – Conegliano Superiore Docg area.

The history of Masi begins in 1772, the date of the first harvest of the Boscaini family in the prized vineyards of “Vajo dei Masi”, a valley in the heart of Valpolicella Classica.

“It is the story of an inseparable union between a surname, “Boscaini”, and a place name, “Vaio dei Masi”, which has been nurtured through the work of those family members who over the generations have dedicated themselves to the cultivation of the vineyard, the transformation of grapes into wine, its marketing and, at the same time, through the events of that original and founding vineyard, of how it was acquired and integrated into increasingly larger properties, how its name has characterized the human and entrepreneurial journey of my family, up to the current Masi Agricola SpA” explains Sandro Boscaini, President of Masi Agricola.
