CANEVEL

IN THE HEART OF VALDOBBIADENE

Canevel Spumanti was set up in 1979 as a result of the meeting of two different professional skills and one real passion.
From the start, when Mario Caramel, a producer of vinegar and a wine merchant from Oderzo, and the wine-making expert Roberto De Lucchi founded the wine-making company in a small workshop below the church of Santo Stefano di Valdobbiadene, the mission was clear: to produce a sparkling wine of excellence that would exploit the qualities of the Glera grape.
“Canevel” in the local dialect means “small cellar”. This is what the new company was intended to be: the best place to safeguard secrets and traditions, where it would develop with our passion for excellence. Since then, wine has remained a project for us, not a matter of chance. It is the result of passion refined over time, with enthusiasm and skill. The culture of wine, technical skill and the continuos quest for quality are inseparable parts of our history and of our sparkling wines.

VIGNETI

CHILD OF THE WIND WINE

There is a wind coming in from the southeast, stirring up the shores of Lake Garda and Mount Baldo. It roars in – long, intense and tempestuous – to forge the vineyards and give them their name: Vinessa.

From the vineyard to the wine cellar, we dedicate care, passion and respect at every stage: from the harvesting of grapes, where each cluster is selected and cleaned manually to guarantee maximum quality, to their careful transportation in low-depth small boxes in order to avoid squashing the grapes and causing oxidative damage.

TERRE CEVICO

The story of the Terre Cevico company begins in 1963

The Terre Cevico company uses traditional wine-making methods with modern technology while maintaining a production process that is completely sustainable and environmentally friendly to ensure a high-quality product that respects and cares for the land. They grow several indigenous wine varieties, in an area where the vines have been growing for over 2000 years: a wide basin, that stretches from Rimini to Casola Valsenio, passing through the regions of Forlì, Faenza and Cesena as far as the Park of the Po-Delta in the north-east and the fertile Ravenna plain in the center. This area yields unique and distinctive wines which contribute to the company’s character. “Wine encompasses stories and the way they are told, traditions and places, but also our identity as producers. And one of Terre Cevico’s major commitments is to produce wine, and at the same time, keeping alive these fundamental values: terroir, history, culture and art.

Indigenous wines with a long history behind them. hey select indigenous grape varieties, grown in an environment-friendly way, so that they can offer clients wines like Sangiovese, ruby red with purplish highlights; Albana which, according to tradition, descends from vines imported during Roman times; Trebbiano; Cagnina; and Pagadebit, so called because of its reliable yields which ensured that one could “pay one’s debts”…

LUCIANO

The outstanding quality

At the heart of the Tenuta Luciano Vivolo estate, our winery symbolises our dedication to quality and distinction. The facility is designed for the production of limited quantities of superior quality wines. Depending on the label, they are either aged in terracotta amphorae, which due to their natural porosity, allow natural micro-oxygenation of the wine, or in small French and American oak barriques, to impart spicy as well as buttery notes.

Although the grape varieties are international in origin, they have long been present in the Bologna hills, where they have developed unique characteristics. They are organically grown. Furthermore, each and every processing step is meticulously monitored and tended to. The very rhythms of nature guide our actions. We strive for our wines to express the pure and refined characteristics of their homeland.
